We present a unique collectible miniature silver figurine shaped like a bird with ruby eyes on a stand made of natural Russian nephrite. Russia, Moscow, 6th Moscow Artel, 1908-1917.

Moscow jewelry artels appeared in 1908 as a new form of collective craft and business management. They were based on graduates of the Stroganov School and former employees of the city's jewelry factories. The artels also included free master jewelers.

Each Artel had its own hallmark, specialization, and recognizable style. The 6th Artel specialized in the production of silver items decorated with enamel decor, miniature silver figurines, and other items. The works of Artel's masters were distinguished by their high quality.

Please note: Authentic Fabergé-era objects from the late 19th and early 20th centuries were not issued certificates of authenticity. Authenticity is determined through examination of original maker’s marks and assay marks, materials, craftsmanship, construction techniques, and comparison with published reference examples.
