We present to your attention a unique antique treasure from the jewelry house of Fabergé — an exquisite silver figurine of a cat with emerald eyes created by the legendary master Julius Rappoport.

Julius Rappoport was the leading master of the Fabergé firm, specializing in the creation of magnificent silver animal figurines. His early works date back to around 1890. Having started his career in Germany, he adopted the traditions and inspiration of outstanding masters such as Wenzel Jamnitzer, which allowed him to achieve a high level of realism in depicting animals.

Rappoport's figurines are distinguished by the finest detail—from the texture of the fur to the feathers, each feature is rendered with masterful precision. Although silver models of animals existed before Fabergé, Rappoport's works became a symbol of refined realism and unrivaled quality.

The figurine has original hallmarks: “α” alpha—indicating the inspection by the St. Petersburg Assay Office, which was active from 1908 to 1917, the woman's head in a kokoshnik, looking to the right, '84' - the Imperial silver standard, Coat of arms of the Russian Empire and the Cyrillic hallmark "К.Фаберже" (K. Faberge) and the initials "I.P." followed by a dot - the master's mark. "I.P." - Julius Alexandrovich Rappoport (Isaac Abramovich Rappoport, 1851 - 1917).

Dimensions of the figurine: length 70mm (2.7"), weight 51.26 grams (1.8 oz). The original box is unfortunately lost. This silver figurine is in excellent vintage condition! Exceptional, unique item!
