Introducing a cute antique silver little mouse with ruby eyes, crafted for the Russian Imperial court by one of Carl Fabergé’s finest jewelers, Julius Rappoport.

Julius Rappoport created most of the elegant and funny silver animal figurines for the House of Fabergé. These pieces served various purposes—from wine jugs and bell buttons to lighters and decorative objects—or simply as delightful collectibles. His earliest works date back to 1890.

Some of Rappoport’s creations are held in the Kremlin Armory and the Hermitage Museum. His figurines are renowned for their intricate detailing, while Fabergé’s works stand out for their exceptional realism—though the firm was not the first to craft silver animal figures.

This little mouse features: Dimensions: 37.3 mm (length) × 19.3 mm (width) × 18.2 mm (height) Weight: 64 grams (2.25 oz). This tiny miniature figurine is crafted from a solid piece of silver, making it quite heavy for its small size. Eyes: Two tiny rubies

Hallmarks: "α" (St. Petersburg Assay Office mark) Women’s head facing right (1908 date mark) 84 - Russian Imperial silver standard "I.P." (Julius Rappoport’s maker’s mark)

A charming and humorous antique treasure, this mini piggy is sure to bring a smile to your face and add a touch of history to your collection.

The miniature mouse features a natural patina that adds to its vintage charm, but it can easily be removed if desired by gently brushing it with a soft cloth or by using silver-cleaning products.

Please note: Authentic Fabergé objects from the late 19th and early 20th centuries were not issued with certificates of authenticity. Authenticity is determined through examination of original maker’s marks and assay marks, materials, craftsmanship, construction techniques, and comparison with published reference examples.
