We present a fabulous lapis lazuli egg pendant, made of 84 imperial gilt silver, in a miniature gilt helmet with a double-headed eagle, globus cruciger, and Moscow—Saint George's historical Imperial coat of arms. It is truly a unique piece of jewelry.
It's a larger pendant with incredible detail that draws the eye closer - and gets better the longer you look!
The pendant has a stamp on the back side under the helmet, stamped with “α" - alpha, the head looking to the right, and the Imperial silver standard is '84' - indicating the St. Petersburg Assay Office inspection, active from 1908 to 1917.
The egg pendant weighs in at 17.2 grams and measures 38 mm, excluding the rings. The lapis lazuli in this pendant is of excellent quality, completely natural, without any heat treatment, and without added color.
It is in wonderful original condition with some light wear to the gilding, as expected.
This pendant is not just a piece of jewelry; it's a piece of history that connects you to the rich heritage of Russian Imperial craftsmanship.
